I am looking in the owners manual and I don't see that even listed. What part of the cluster is it in?

If you look in the manual on page 6 there is a picture. If you look in the odometer area there next to the temperature it says CRL vertically.

What year is your JK? My manual don't have that I have a 2010 2dr sport. My manual says there is a Cal light that will flash telling you the compass needs calibrated.

I have a 2011. Maybe its something thats only on the 11's. Its annoying cause there is a pic of it in the new manual but no description of what the #$!* it is :naw:

Check the part of your manual that deals with the compass and trip computer and see if it says anything there.

Ya, i looked there and that warning will say CAL. :dontknow2:

Jiblet 02-12-2011 05:28 AM

from my 2008 manual:

Automatic Compass Calibration
The self-calibrating feature of the compass eliminates the
need to calibrate the compass for normal conditions.
During a short initial period, the compass may appear
erratic and the CAL symbol will appear (blinking) on the
display. After the vehicle has completed at least one
complete circle under 5 mph (8 km/h) in an area free
from large metal objects, calibration will be complete
when the CAL symbol is extinguished.
After initial calibration, the compass will continue to
automatically update this calibration whenever the vehicle
is in motion.

Holy crap, I feel like an idiot. I swore it looked like C"R"L instead of CAL. You all are right. I am dumb. Thanks for clearing that up.
