Default Dead battery

I have an 07 unlimited sahara 4dr. I've noticed some acid buildup a while back and promply cleaned it off using the baking soda method. It's been cleaned twice when buildup has been seen with the last cleaning about a month ago or so. Yesterday I tried to start my jeep and got the clicking sound with no engine turn over. I jumped it and drove it around for about 30 minutes without a hitch. Parked it and got up this am and started right up. Only left it running for about 1 minute. Left it alone for about 3 hours and it's dead again. I did not leave any lights on. Seems too early for a new battery and/or alternator. Any ideas on what I should check that is causing battery drain? All electronics are stock with no aux lighting or electronics. Should I just replace the battery? Seems a bit early. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't sound too early at all to be honest. I put a battery in my wife's 30k mile 2007 caliber last week. 525cca tested at 200cca. Desert just takes its toll on batteries. Go grab a new one and carry on another 3 years (in my opinion..., there shouldn't be any other underlying issue as in alt or battery draw)

Goodys right. The desert KILLS the battery. I think that Optima is the only one that is completely sealed and can resist the desert sand and heat.

Also I have a buddy who bought paper similar to a prefilter (for K&N) and he cut it out into a box shape and sewed it together and put it over his battery on his bronco that he uses in the sand 90% of the time.

I do have about 69k miles on it. Guess I should think more about actual miles rather then years on the battery.
