Default decent looking mud flaps for a Rubicon?

So my wife's rubi is slinging rocks on her painted rear fenders and knocking the paint off and it's really ticking her off. Got 5,000 miles on it and there's chips all over them. Been looking at wider rocker guards or painted metal Poison Spyder fenders, but that's alot of money and I don't feel like upgrading a brand new rubi in a significant way. Are there any cheap mud flaps that don't look stupid and are big enough to block rocks from slinging back there? Not worried about the rear but I may have to match, mainly need the front. All the ones I've seen look kind of stupid.

If it were me, I'd apply that clear bra material before I installed some goofy looking mudflaps. I've had clear bras on my last couple of sports cars and I'll be doing it on the rest as well.

An area that is contoured like the fenders would likely have to be done professionally, but personally I think it would look much better.

Best of luck.

The factory side steps work pretty good to keep the dirt and rocks from hitting the sides/rear fenders flares. They also do a good job of preventing parking lot door dings

I only have rock rails. Don't the side steps only come on Sahara's? I guess worse case I'll try a set of the ones below but apparently I need to research this clear bra material.

Side steps are also optional on the Sport. Weathertech also makes mudflaps, pick your poison I guess. Is she going to use the rock rails? You might remove them and pick up some Sahara steps of CL. I bet you would break even selling your sliders.

A friend of mine's COD edition has rails that stick out more and do a great job of protecting the fenders, but the texture is totally different, would look bad.

Surely this is a common issue. What do other people do about this? And surely Jeep knows it's an issue. Putting a painted surface directly facing right where roost gets kicked up with no protection isn't the smartest thing in the world. I'm sure it was never a big deal with black unpainted flares.

I took off my rock rails and put on the tubular side step to make it easier for passengers to climb in. And the no-door dings has been awesome. Just don't park next to high-sitting pick up trucks!

I have the mopar front mud guards, too. They keep the spray and rocks off the doors and side. Just note that they are rigid and probably not the best for the true rock crawler.

Same concern here, I'm going to get a quote for a vinyl wrap for the rear fenders, or all four.
