diff ratios for new owner
Hello all. I have just ordered a jk unlimited diesel and have been told I have to wait untill late October for delivery. I have been unable to find out the diff (final drive) ratio for manual diesels, can anybody help me? Also does the genuine tow package change the diff ratios? For those of you that allready have your jeep enjoy, me I've got 5 months to save up for a lift kit.
Diesels are not availible in the U.S. so your not likely to get much info.
I'm sure you are already aware that the X and Sahara's come with a 3.21:1 ratio and the Rubicons have the 4.10:1.
The Tow package upgrades the X and Sahara's to the 4.10 ratio and will also upgrade the rear axle to a D44 if you have a 2dr.
But these are all for GAS/Petrol US vehicles and may differ for you.
I checked the AU jeep site and found the specs, they appear to be the same as ours with either 3.21 or 4.10. The Diesel has a 5 speed auto where the V6 has a 4 speed auto but the diff ratios look the same. The autos also have the 4.10 standard. Rubicons are NOT availible with the Diesel either.
