Thanks guys, yes the advice gives me more insight and confidence to do the job more fluid. I'll be taking this on maybe this weekend or the next. Just getting my lockers shipped today and maybe I'll stare and admire it for a little while.
For the carrier shims, when adding, do you add individual or take diff out and then shove them in all together? (If that makes any sense) and beat the diff with shims in with a dead blow?
And what is a good starting point for pinion shim? I've read .044 and some say .065. Any thoughts on that if any?

I started with .040 and ended up with .048 for the pinion.
For the carrier side shims you will be up around .130 per side.

I've adjusted since then. That pic was at about .006 backlash I think. Here is my current config at .040 pinion shim and .005 backlash. I also have a gear pattern thread on the modified section. I've spent a lot of hrs trying diff adjustments and just can't seem to get it.
