Default Does the dash plastic have a paint code or best match?

2012 JKU. Standard dark charcoal dash & interior plastic color. I'm trying to paint match some aftermarket dash pieces. Trim paint code on door decal is A7X9. But I looked it up and it's "Jet Black". I think they are referring to the hard top. As the interior is not Jet Black. And it's not painted. It's color molded into the plastic.

Does the dash even have a paint code? What is the best color match for the standard dark charcoal dash color?

It's a dash kit that came with a new 10.1" android head unit. You can see the color difference in the upper dash gauge cover. And the radio bezel. I know SEM Landau Black perfectly matches the dark charcoal dash plastic on a TJ. Just wondering if anyone has ever come up with a match for the JK dash?

I'd start with Satin Black. What are you trying to paint. I might have a better solution.

In the two pics you can see two different colors of black between the upper and lower part of the dash. The upper is aftermarket parts that came with a 10.1" android stereo upgrade I did. So I assumed the aftermarket parts were just the incorrect color. But then someone pointed out to me that our dashes were actually a two tone. Of two different shades - black and sort of a dark grey. I was going to paint the aftermarket parts. As they appeared to not match the rest of the dash.

But in the top pic you can see the darker upper portion of the dash is actually original dash. Just the part around the radio and exhaust vents is from the aftermarket kit.

I had never noticed this color difference before. Plus the top dash tray - also an aftermarket part - is going to take some massaging to fit. Which again led me to think these were just Chinese junky parts. But alas. I was wrong. I think once I grind on the top dash tray and get it to fully fit. They will be a perfect match.

Whole thing cost me $300 for the android 10.1" head unit and dash kit, and about $200 in new JBL speakers. The head unit also came with everything - steering wheel control, back up camera, gps antenna. It's android 13. And 8gb/257gb. So it has all the advanced features that a $1500 would have. I've put these in all of my last 3 vehicles. Including this JK and my last TJ. You have to set a few settings in them to get them to run perfectly. But it's nothing complicated. Well worth the money and effort. My phone now sinks to my stereo flawlessly. And I have a mapping and Spotify up at the same time on split screen. You can actually have any app up and running next to mapping or anything else.

I wouldn't paint the interior dash.
