Door hinge alignment
Does the part of the door hinge that's held onto the door (not the little part on the body) have any sort of alignment?
Got my passenger side door hinges repainted under warranty (for corrosion), but they way they reinstalled them, I can see bare metal underneath each hinge. It looks like they bolted them on up too high.
I was under the impression that there was no adjustment...just 2 torx bolts...but then how did they end up in different spots?

They have room to slide up/down/left/right. Once you take them off good luck gettin them back in the same spot. Check your doors if they are closing like they should then dont play with them. If your doors are off have one person hold the door while another loosens the 2 bolts an reposition till they line up.
Can I ask how many miles you have and how long your warranty is? I tried to get mine done and they denied me. I'm going to Bedliner them but if I could get a free sanding, that would be great...

Now I kind of wish I just left it with corrosion...
Since I just got done bedlining my hinges yesterday I can assure you they do move to some extent. It's two torx bolts yes, but the plate's holes for said bolts are slightly larger so that you can align the door as needed.
You can definitely adjust them. If it is just a little out of alignment, I would take the door off the rig and lay it down so you aren't fighting gravity.
But take a careful look at the spacing all around the closed door. The door may be perfectly aligned on the frame, or not. The gaps should be 5mm +/- 1.5mm all around, and flush to the surface +/- 1.5mm.
Alignment is easy to screw up if you don't have a good eye and a light touch.
The hinges that are visible from the exterior are fore-aft adjustable (torque to 19ft.lbs.). The hinge on the door frame (pillar) are for up-down adjustment (torque to 21ft.lbs.).
