Default Door hinge thread

My doors were corroded onto the vehicle. I had to use a punch to try and free one of the doors. It slipped off of dead center and ruined the threads. What are my options now? Thanks in advance.

Pretty large gap now too between each of them.

Perfect time to go to Delrin hinge liners. There's a set on eBay for $10 but usually they're closer to $50. You pop out those metal sleeves, slide these in, then polish up your posts. You should be able to clean up the threads with a nut cut like a die.

I got the TMR Customs brand replacements. They are all installed and working great.

The old ones were so hard to get out that I ruined the one thread and of course added a Jeep Dimple which I'm sooooo pissed about. I spent 11 years not getting one.

So is there any fix or part or do I have to buy an entire new hinge?

You could try to fix the thread with a die I suppose, but I never once put those capture nuts back on my for hinges once removed. The door can't be removed unless it's open, so as long as you lock your doors you shouldn't have to worry about someone running off with them.

Agree.....haven't had those nuts on for about 5 years now. If intent on using them, I agree a die would be best option. You can pick up a cheap set of tap and dies at Harbor Freight that will do the trick. I'd presume that would be metric, but not positive.

It looks like the threads are leaned over. I'd get it straight to where the door will go on and come off and leave it like that until you go to replace all of the hinges.

Got it. I guess I'll have to do all of the hinges over at some point and I guess if I do new hinges anyway I'd still use these inserts.

Just bummed when you break something else when trying to fix things. I figured I may be able to thread it over if I keep the tap on center somehow or maybe even cut it down and see if I can still grab a few threads if that didn't work.

Maybe since some people are on this thread you can help with some replacement part names?

These two black flex hoses I need both plastic pieces that hold it correctly. That stuff snapped as soon as I changed the plugs for the first time.

Also which bump stops do I need to replace these teraflex? Do they screw in or pressure fit? Should I also buy the crown auto or omix replacement factory front upper bumpstops?

If you insist on fixing the hinge you can buy hinge pins https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/crown-...KMN-55395702AE
