Default Door locks

So I go to the jeep last night to run to the store and get some groceries and when I put the key into the door it doesn't turn at all. So i climb in from the passenger side and unlock it and it unlocks fine and the door opens fine. Any ideas on why the door lock won't turn from the outside? It doesn't look like anybody has messed with it or anything.

Dirt and road slime work their way in there my drivers lock started freezing up last winter and now it won't work even in the summer. It hasn't worked for over a year now. I've tried lock lube de-icer to no avail. Not sure if there is maybe a better lube option for the dirt?

Have you tried a crap load of WD40 to really flush it out? I've used that on several licks and always seems to do the trick.

I've been using a product called Lock-Ease for at least 30 years. I've never found anything better. It's a liquid graphite product that comes in a container like lighter fluid comes in. Kind've hard to find but well worth the effort.
