My dealer did the $25 tube of grease fix (warranty). It has been 2 months with no more rattle, but...I do expect it to come back eventually...

Default Chrysler is no match for electrical tape....

Had my jeep into the dealer 3 times to get the doors to stop rattling along with a lengthily list of other problems that wont seem to go away. (stalling, Syncros x2, soft top leaks, zippers sticking, something that sounds like a missfire..etc) Finally i gave up and tried the tape, and it works great! I find it really hard to believe that a major car manufacturer cant fix simple problems like this from the factory. In my opinion they took a ding out of the Jeep name with the JK, not saying that there aren’t some great improvements but they could have done better. I beat the hell out of my TJ and none of this shit was happening.

My door rattle finally just disappeared. Or got absorbed into all the other road noises. Now if I could just remember to rotate the tires regularly...

I trioed the tape thing and it was not a solution for me. If you're getting the squeaking, I would tightent up the bolt found in the plastic trim piece on the driver side...mine was loose, tightened it and the squeak went away!

If you still have clunk noise, hit up all the bolts on the inside and outside of the Jeep...justa bout all of mine were loose and took care of the clunk noise. Took me a while to for me and the dealer to find, but as the guy at the dealer said it looks like they were in a hurry to leave that day! No problems now...nice and quiet!
