Slide red flange out. Press down on the front of the plug (same side as red flange) while pulling apart. It takes a second, but is fairly easy.

There is a small red latch that keeps you from being able to disconnect the harness. You need to unlock it by sliding it one way or the other in the direction perpendicular to the path of the wires. Once you've done this, you can press in on the little tab on the lower part of the connector and release it normally.

Sorry I don't have pics -- I think there's a writeup of this in the manual, but I can post some later if you still need help. It is the same style of connector that they use to connect the harness for the rear windsheild washer if you have a hard top, so you can check the hard top removal section as well.

I was having a hard time with mine the first time I tried. It's best if you start on the passenger side as you have more room to see what you're doing. The harness actually will slide loose from the side if you pull it down, it won't break off. Just slide it off of the little rail holding it to the side wall and you can see what you're doing better. Once you unlock it by sliding the flange, just push down on the tab that's kinda right in the middle. It may take a little force but you should see it better this way and it'll make the drivers side that much easier. Once done, just slide the jeep-half of the harness back up on the rail that holds it in place. I bet I spent 30 minutes trying to figure it out the first time lol.
