Drivers Seat
I have a 2013 JK 2 door. The drivers seat has a handle on the left side of the seat. As everybody knows, you can use the handle to insert air into the seat or take air out of it. With just 2,300 miles on it, the handle is very loose. Additionally, each morning when I go to start it up, I have to use the handle to pump air into the seat. Also, times while driving I can slowly feel the air leaking??? out.
The seat now has an indentation right in the middle of it where your butt sits. Service manager said to keep driving it and it should work the problem out.
Had the jeep to the dealer five times so I do qualify for the lemon law IF I so desire.
Service manager took pictures of the seat and sent them to Jeep. Jeep is ONLY going to send the seat frame and refuses to send the seat cushion because they could not tell by the pictures how large this hole is. It's large enough to cause low back pain after driving it about 20 miles. Ser. Mgr and I tried many different ways to get a good pic. but just couldn't do it. So tomorrow it goes into the shop for the frame replacement
When I tried everything to get this problem worked out with the ser. mgr it fell on deft ears. So I called customer service. As usual, a total waste of time. So when I told him if they refuse to fix it that I will go out and buy drivers and passengers leather seats for the front. He "immediately warned" me that if I did so, it would go into the computer as voiding any further problems with both front seats.
I don't see how they would know if I did or did not replace them with leather unless the Western Area manager was made aware of this by customer service and the next time he was at the dealership I don't know if he has the authority to make me bring the jeep in so he can inspect it. IF he did, there is no doubt in my mind that he could take one look at the aftermarket (large) tires and other after market accessories I have on the jeep and that should be enough to void the entire original and extended warranty.
To add insult to injury, while talking to him about the seat, he informed me that there was not a single message or complaint form that the service manager had sent in.
Has anybody else experienced a problem with the drivers seat losing air? If so, was it fixed and how or what did they do to correct the problem?
Other problem is with the back seat. When it is folded up and I want to bring it back to the upright positon, there are times it will not properly lock into positon so when you have to brake a little hard, the seat slams forward. Then if the seat is folded all the way forwards, there is no type of locking device to keep it in position. When you take off from a dead stop and a little heavy on the gas, this throws the seat backwards. Ser. mgr said he will drill a hole through the floor and install an 0 ring. Then taking the small strap you use to pull the seat back, he will us a "nice piece" of red rope so I can tie it in place.

You should have a lever to raise or lower the drivers seat height. AIR??? Unless you have a new feature that no one knows about, you may be mistaken and the dealership is playing with you or they don't have a clue. Let us know.

Corners08, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Seriously though, it's just a mechanical adjustment. As Firecapt said, you tend to push it down if you slide out, especially if you have a lifted Jeep or are a little shorter. The search function isn't working for me, but there is an older thread on here where some guys were taking the handle off, rotating it a little and putting it back on in a different position so you are less likely to adjust it down when you slide out.

Remember those sneakers that had a pump button so you could air up your shoes? That advanced technology is NOT in your JK seats.
Like others have said, there's no air mechanism... It's mechanical. A simple limb riser, that's all. If your handle is loose, try popping off the round cover cap and tightening it down with a torx bit. Or the teeth on the handle have stripped a bit and a replacement lever can be installed. I had to replace mine on my 08 after a couple years.

Regardless of it being an air bladder of some sort or a mechanical part that raises or lowers the seat. This guy is asking for help, we should try and provide it instead of making him feel bad for making an honest mistake. Not everyone is a gear head and knows everything there is to know about Jeeps, if we did we wouldn't need this forum.
