Default e brake light

For the third time this week I had my e brake light come on with a beep while I'm driving. It's not the e brake itself because its never up as I hardly use it, I have an automatic. From what I've read on here it could mean some pretty serious things like brake system failure but I hooked up my obdii reader (Bluetooth dongle with "torque" for android) and no codes. It still stops fine. What are your thoughts?

Does the light work normally when you do use the E-Brake? Ever pull out your center console? There is one wire from the switch. All it needs is ground to activate the light. Maybe a coin or something fell in your center console or the wire fell off of the switch. Either way it could be shorting and lighting the light.

E brake its light works fine. Could be a coin I always have some in front of the shifter. I've never taken that console apart, just the dash for a radio swap. Thanks.

My E-brake light came on when my pads got too low. Rear pads were very low, light came on. Replaced rear pads, light went away. A few weeks later same situation with the front. Havent had an issue since.
