Default e-Disco problems

My Dad finally has his first problem with his JKU Rubi.

I did search around the forums and none of the threads/suggestions would work, so I thought I would ask here...

Anyways... My dad's Rubi has the e-disco light flashing all the time. He never uses the disconnects at all and it just came out of nowhere.
Two different shops have emptied the water out of the disco motor and also greased the connectors and internal parts, and it would not solve the problem.
They did rock the jeep and it seems that the bars are still connected.

They told my Dad that it would be $1,700 for a new "box". Dad is like screw that and will drive the jeep and ignore the light for now... Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Corrosion on the pins/sockets in the e-disco connector would be a good place to start. Yeah, they greases the connector, but did they check for corrosion? And getting grease on the pins isn't good, either.

Next possibility would be water destroyed the circuit board in the e-disco.

Then you could always trash the electronics, and convert it to manual disconnect. One of the sponsors has such a kit.

I found out the part that needs to be replaced is the "sway bar disconnect actuator". This is the e-disco right?
Dealer price still stands at $1,700 for replacement.

I have the motor from mine. My plug on the harness rotted out.
Pm me your address if you are interested. Pay for shipping, and if it fixes your problem and you want it, $100

Is it easy to swap out? And also, if your harness rotted out... how are you running around without the motor?

As the other poster noted the EVO one looks good as an alternative to the $1700 fix.

When the plug rusted out, I was left with a few choices. 1: replace wiring harness for about $100, 2: put my X swaybar back on and get quick discos, 3: EVO system like I mentioned in previous post for $89 plus shipping. I opted for #3 and am happy with it.
I don't have the push button disco, but I don't need tools to disconnect either. Kind of a happy medium for me.
There are 3 bolts that hold the motor or EVO system on and only takes a few minutes to change out, very easy!
If you want to keep the push button disco, I can send you my motor to try out like stated above
