Default Electrical tape and door noise

OK, I have researched...and tried...the solutions to the door noise. Tonight I wrapped electrical tape around the striker plate in the door and it had no impact! I even wrapped two times around as per a thread that I had read. Anyone else have this problem?

Not to be a bitch or anything, but this seriously is annoying. It makes the most obnoxious noise, even in low speeds...in my driveway! Of course, it is not a aproblem when the doors are off! Seriously, any other experiences or suggestions?!

Did you do it so it looks like this....

If this didn't fix it, then you may have a different problem.

I went all around the plate. How much did you wrap around the plate in that pic?

I put about three wraps on it. Did it around March 2008. It's been quiet ever since.
That's why I think you may have a different problem (if this doesn't work).

Will take it all off and try the three wraps. If that does not work...will but up a new dealership...last time in they could not "replicate" the noise...my a$$...it does it all the time!

I'm sorry, I have to ask...

What does that mean?

I wrapped mine on the front of the bar not the side as seen in the picture.
No more clunk.

Interesting. Hadn't heard of that one. Glad it worked.
