Engine bay courtesy light??
 

I got my Saraha Unlimited home Wednesday and never even looked in the engine compartment of one until the next day. There is no light under the hood!?? Even my TJ had a cheap bulb under there? I noticed what looks to be a wiring harness on the hood for such an unusual convienence(poke at DC)

I called the dealer and without much confidence I was told that there is none. Tell me it ain't so for such an expensive Jeep... anyway can live without it, but what the $#@!

It ain't so!!!my Sahara has it on the passenger side of the hood.

My has one, too.... but it's not attached very well. Someone else on these boards had just the wires with no light. You should go back to your dealer. There is supposed to be a light there.

My "X' has one,.....Drive back to your Dealer and tell them you'll be waiting in the Lobby, and when they're done installing the Engine Bay Light that isn't there(that should be), then come & get me. Thank You.

So what you all are saying is that there SHOULD be a light in there. I got the wiring and an empty plug where a light should be. Anyone know if this light should be there on all models? I have the X with all the upgrades. I would think the light should be there. What's the dealer doing with all the lights that aren't being installed?

I just checked Jeep.com and it clearly lists the "Underhood Lamp" as a standard feature When you go back to your dealer thank him for the extreme amount of smoke he blew up your @$$

And YES Duneslider This is standard on ALL Wranglers

I have an X and have a light!

Well, thanks folks! Let there be light! I'm amazed at the response from others who don't have one either...

My dealer is 200 miles away, but I have to go back to pick up my old car this week anyway. They'll probably have to send me one or maybe they can cherry pick one off the lot and replace theirs!

My Sahara has the light but its loose & the wiring has a little keeper that isn't attached anywhere. Also my tail light on the drivers side was loose. DC needs to get a better quality control system going. Hope there aren't any other loose items.

the keeper on my light is also loose.looks like there a missing hole to anchor it.
