Default ESP OFF Finally

I finally turned off the ESP on my 08 Rubicon 6 SPD following the steering wheel turning directions. After many tries I thought from previous posts it didn't work with manual trans since I kept hearing it was in the auto manuals only. After seeing posts on the JK writeup forums I learned that it does work on 08 6SPD's and 07's with a flash. ( check out write up forum for details)
The key was to release the ESP button after 7 sec THEN wait for the chime. I was holding the button to long.
The ABS still works and there is only the ESP light on and text saying ESP is OFF. No Problem.
It is great being able to drive without big brother telling me to slow down.
Hope this helps someone.

Did you get the flash? Your sig says '07. Without the flash the instructions won't work for you.

Yes, it turns it off, completely, in 2wd.

Look in your owners manual. If it's not in there it's on a yellow addendum card.

How long do i have to wait for the chime? and once i tried it and by just turnung the steering wheel to the left and holding it down it said esp off, but then i put it in to 2wd and it came back on. also the steering is very tough when the engine isn't on, isnt it bad for the steering?
