flat flares and tires...please.
So I know this subject has been beaten buut hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
After findimg out that I can not lift my 4 dr 08 JK without voiding the warranty I have decided to do other cosmetic stuff.
Can somone tell me hoe big of a tire I can go with out rubbing and without losing much flex with and without flat fender flares? I would like to keep my stock wheels though.
Thanks for the help in advance!!!

I'm in the same boat for the same reasons.I'm keepin this jeep for the next 20 years with a lifetime warranty. Its been perfect at 25K.miles. I wanna do flat fenders and 33's.Probably Duratracs stock Rubi wheels. Anyone know how wide I can go? Want NO RUB at all. I've heard I'm gonna need spacers.
Thats not what my dealer told me. And they wanted like $3500.00 to lift my Rubi with the Mopar kit. Thanks anyway. 33's will not void anything.
You spent $2X,XXX on a vehicle and now you are going to let a dealer tell you what you can and cant do??
I have a wife that tries to do that already...Tell the dealer to pound sand and do what you want. Then never step foot in that dealership again. Then tell everyone you know how shitty that dealer is...

With flats and 33's with proper backspacing you should be fine. As for the warranty, it depends on the dealer as to how much grief they'll give you about any mods. Technically, they could say 33" tires, wheels with less backspacing, or wheel spacers placed strain on the drivetrain causing any number of issues. Most flat fenders require you to remove the inner fenders that protect the motor from wheel splash. They could blame any number of problems on you removing the inner fenders if they were intent on not paying a warranty claim. Smart dealers realize that being mod-friendly is likely to result in repeat and referral business. Find one that supports the culture.
