Folding the top down properly
 
I fold the top back halfway very neatly and do it pretty well when folding it all the way down. I still get the feeling I can do a better job when going all the way back. The folds rub against the light bar and those two strips from the corners are a pain. Does anyone have a method that is works well?

And while I can put the top back up ok it isn't nearly as easy and bringing it all down. Any tip on putting it back up are welcome.

I've found that it's important to get the first set of folds correct - the part when your first flip back the part over the front and back seats. Fold it back enough so that you are halfway there (e.g. it's vertical), then make sure both the top and bottom (as you are holding it vertical) slack parts fold backwards and accordion down neatly. If you let them fold forwards they get all pinched and bound up in the various bits of tubing that make up the frame. This is easier if you have one person on each side. When I do it by myself I have to switch sides a couple of times to really pull out the loose parts and lay them down neatly. Once you've got this done you can unhook the middle part of the frame over the doors and fold the rest of it down. I unhook the two back bottom corners and just stick them into the back. As you fold it all the way down it usually wants to get hung up on my spare. The trick to avoiding this is to lift the side bars up some so that the very back of the top goes down first and tucks against the tire, then bring the rest of the top down (or just simply open up your back gate and get the tire out of the way).

Now, to get it back up the trick is to angle the side bars up first and get them to clear the rear roll cage bars. Then holding them up, lift with back hand (my right as I stand on the drivers side) on the bottom of all the folded stuff. This again helps it to clear the spare tire. Then using a combined motion, pull up and forward with your left hand holding the side bars while lifting with your right. This will pop the top up and forward. From there it's easy to clip in the side rails and do the rest.

Lately I've just been rolling the back window up and securing it with the snap on stretchy loops. Then dropping the top.

I stand in the back to pit the top down so I can fold it neatly as it's coming down. When I put it back up I stand in the back and raise the whole thing. When it's vertical, just lower it slowly and the side will catch the latches. Takes about 30 seconds to put it up that way.

What they don't show is the two people lifting the top.

Stand with one foot on the back bumper and one foot on the spare tire with the tailgate all the way open. Lift up and let it slide in the locks. Takes about two minutes down and three minutes up with windows. I just throw the side windows under the mat in the back with the ridged door sides facing the tailgate. I roll the rear window up and slide it back in the cardboard tube it came in. Never lost the windows with the rear seat down, doors off and 80 mph down the freeway.
