Default Forward Lean. Why?

Why does the JK appear lean forward? Standing still it looks like it is at the end of the braking process.

Is it actually level, but the body leans or is the frame leaning as well? Is this on purpose or just that they didn't plan for the extra weight of the engine?

Finally, should I level it? Does it even matter?

I know in the past I saw someone posting something about leveling out their JK w/reason, but can't find that post

Default matter of taste

Hi Jeremy- yeah I guess all JK's have a forward rake. When you add a winch and steel bumper it can really drop down there. Mine has the heavy duty suspension and still had an 1 1/2'' rake with no mods. I measured from the center of each flare opening to the ground and it was an 1 1/2'' difference front to rear. I ordered 1 3/4'' front spring spacers from RE and installed them leaving the factory 1/4'' spring pad out which gave me the 1 1/2'' raise I wanted. $50.00 and 45 minutes. No shock mods and no alignment needed.

My guess is it lowers the pressure behind the radiator and under the front, allowing more air to flow through the radiator. It would also keep the Jeep from being nose high when loaded, or when pulling a trailer. This, too, would enhance air flow through the radiator.
Just my opinion.

the reason why they have that is to compensate when you load up the rear with gear

It's mainly for fuel efficiency. Less drag as the air flows over and less under.

Fuel milage is better if the Jeep is always going down hill.

Basically it's compensating for the lack of a wedge design to help aerodynamics. I guess DC decided that pointing the nose down will make up for the massive drag coefficient JK's have.
