Question The freaking JACK!!!

I know this is a stupid question, maybe im just a numbskull, but I cant get my darn jack out. Is there a trick to getting this out?

just turn it..like as if you were lowering the jack. It will then give you the clearance to pull it out. When you put it back, have it all the way lowered, slide in place, then raise it and it will tighten in and not rattle that way.

Holy crap!!! That's how you do it? I had a flat and couldn't fix it because the freakin jack wouldn't come out!!! I was sitting in a gas station waiting for AAA because of that stupid thing. ARRG!!!!

This issue has cropped up a few times. I really think they need to address it in the owners manual.
