Freedom Panel Foam

Default Freedom Panel Foam

I have had a jeep hardtop leak from freedom panels and i have tried replacing the foam on the panels but i can still hear air and it leaks. Does anyone have pictures of the foam replacement spots ?

90% of these leaks occur from not placing and attaching the header section onto the windshield correctly. If the panels have bene shifted left or right, this can cause an uneven seal which would allow water to leak into the cabin area. The panels need to be placed more forward towards the windshield, centered then drawn shut. Then latch the sides and back onto the main hard top. Adding these foam strips aren't going to help much IF you haven't removed the old strips first. Placing these strips on top of the old ones will create an uneven seal. Just another reason I've never liked or wanted the hardtop on any of our jeeps.

Might be too late but I always take my panels off twice a year and spray them liberally with silicone then wipe with a rag. Do the door seals and tailgate as well. So far my 2008 has original seals and does not leak a drop but can't say what previous owner did.
