Would my leak be from over tightening of the screw in the sound bar ?

When I first got my 2012 I tightened the screws as much as I could get them. First major rain storm I had a leak. After searching the forum, tried just lightly tightening them. No more leaks after that. It seems that over tightening bows the front of the panel up causing a weak seal.

Ya me too, now that I think about it I wonder where I put the darn things.......

My panels sqeek a little more in the winter cold without them though. I just turn up the radio.

If I were to run with only one panel mounted, I would probably use the screw in that case.

That is how I like to run in the summer months, I wouldn't think that it would be a problem though.

Very cool. I never thought to do this. Did you rhino line that rear?

I run with just the front panels on all the time on my jku. No issues. Took a 3hr ride at 80 mph works like a charm.
