Default Fron u-joint?

No one responded in this thread to my question:

extreme underside

ANYWAYS.... why does this jk have a front u-joint? I have read nothing about Chrysler making this change, although it would be a welcome one!

edit: Crap. I can't spell. Mods, little help with the title please...

I'm pretty sure that all the JK's have a U-joint at the front diff, any that I've looked at anyway. Must be Chryslers way of teasing us.

They all have a u-joint yoke on the front pinion. Well, at least all the 4x4's do.
