Default Front electric windows would not go down.

I'm driving home and reach over to lower the windows and neither front window would move. The rears went up and down fine with both sets of switches. I get home and turn off the key and think about where the multimeter is and just for kicks turn the key back on... yep the windows worked fine.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this little mystery outage.

BTW I flipped the child lock a couple times and that did not do anything.

I had this happen to me with my '10. Exactly as you described, they worked again after restarting the engine and has not happened again since. I was at about 8000 km.

Same here too,

I had less than 2000KM on it. I think there's another thread about this somewhere but I could not find it. Had to restart the engine as well and the switch started working again.

My 07 doesn't do it, but in my company vehicle if you push the window button while turning it on the windows don't work, I have to stop and re-start to get them to work again. Possibly the same issue???

Probably just a bus communication glitch.

I had it happen to me a couple of times. The first I restarted and worked fine the other I was on the trail and retried it a couple of minutes later and they worked.

Had it happen as well - once. I also had the dealer install my hard top and they inadvertently loosened the harness causing my rear windws to stop working for a while. Just had to tighten the connection in the rear of the switch set. it can be reached by taking out the vent, which is removeable by hand.
