Default Front seat problem...

Hi All,

I have a 08 Wrangker 2 door with 5K miles. Just recently as I am driving on the highway the front passenger seat will release on it's own. What will happen is the back of the seat will release and flip forward and then the base of the seat will release and slide back. This happens as the jeep hits a bump in the road. I can re-latch it and then it will happen again later down the road?? Anyone else ran into this problem and was the dealer able to correct it? Thanks!

Sounds like some faulty hardware from the Factory. Just take it back...that or somebody coulda dicked around with it. A lot of people don't like how the seats slide forward, rather than flip and tilt forward like EVERY other damn prior model Jeep did. Good luck with that.

Try reclining it all the way, and then putting it back up in its normal position. Same thing happened to me a while back, and it worked.

Mine does that as well. Especially when I am driving with no doors.
