Default Front shock nuts..

I need new nuts for the top of my front shock. Can I just go get a lock nut at the hardware store that fits, or is there some reason I would need the dealer part?

Also, do I need a washer if I go the locknut route?

I would get the dealer nut.. It has a built in washer. Then you know the issue will not rear it's ugly head again in the future..

One of mine rolled away when putting on my lift. Funny how some nuts and bolts can bounce so far away from the rig. Could not find it.

The dealer part was not "too" expensive, is built right and should be treated properly for corrosion resistance. I think they are part # 6104717AA if you want to get a quote. Some online mopar parts sites list them for $1.30 each.
