Default gas refill problem

I start having problem when I refill, I can't put more than 5$ before the gun stop, then I restart it and it do it again and again. I haven't go offroad or anything but street miles since last summer. What should I check.

Don't do it full blast. Put the lever on the lowest one and let it self-fill. It'll take a bit longer but it shouldn't stop every 10 seconds. Let me guess, you're using one of the gas nozzles with the tube around it?

The problem appears to be the air leaving the tank while you fill it isn't able to escape faster than the fuel is entering, triggering the stop. If you fill it more slowly it should go in fine allowing more time for air to escape.

I had the same issue for months, it got worse and worse, also if I could get it to start pumping good it would overflow when full. It wound up being my ESIM switch thats the little white plastic thing that is mounted on the EVAP canister, mine had a hole in it, there are two valves in there that help control the flow. Its a $10 part and goes on without any tools. It has NOTHING to do with the pumps, NOTHING to do with the speed you are trying to pump, I had this problem for many months and at the time I was driving 1200mi almost every week and had the problem at EVERY station, check this thread out, explains more of what I found and about the evap works

Mine was the gas tank. Was told it was the "flap" (to prevent gas spills in a rollover) was defective. Changes a couple months ago and no splash and to problem filling.
