Gear 4 incorrect ratio
So I'm driving down the highway and all of a sudden my engine light turns on....and this is what its reading...high RPM just going 40mph....and I wasn't accelerating....so I took it to o'reilleys and they ran the diagnostic on it...and its says gear 4 incorrect ratio...please help...
It doesn't feel like the engine picks up.....it feels like it's back on track now....it seems to be shifting fine...I disconnected the battery.....the engine light has not turned back on....and the shifting seems to be fine....I'm running 31's on 17" stock rims....a buddy told me I should have tuned....
So today driving on the highway....it wouldn't pass 61mph...and then at one point it began to shake from the lower center of the Jeep....its a automatic transmission....any ideas out there?..I know its hard to diagnose thru here...but does this sound like anything anyone has experienced

Well, just an update.....I switched both input and output sensors on the transmission.....no dice....so now im thinking of replacing the whole vavle body (the tranny computer) which will give me new solenoids that controls the gears. And by doing that I do a transmission fluid change. OR I do a transmission fluid change first which some say could be the cause of the 4th gear incorrect ratio....but if I do the change first and it doesnt work then I try the computer i will have to chnage the fluid again (double the cost)...if the computer replacement doesnt work Im out of ideas...the computer will cost 400.00....not too bad....unless I look for a used transmission (used not rebuilt) with low miles and replace the whole thing itself......suggestions?.....help guys?......
Just FYI after switching out both sensors it kind of shifts smoother until I hit 4th gear....then it feels like it puts itself into overdrive.

I like to wrench on my own stuff as much as possible... but with a problem like that, I'd give in and bring it to a tranny shop.
Driving around with a slipping gear or burnt band or sticking solenoid or low pump pressure will normally cause more and more damage.
