MOPAR Half Door Kit Available Soon
Jeep Forum.com had a Q & A with Jeep engineers the other day, and I posted the following question:
"4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility magazine claimed the following on their blog back in April:
"Also available soon will be complete front and rear half door kits that come complete and ready to paint. You’ll no longer have to go through the dealer’s part’s screen trying to figure out every little piece needed to put together half doors for your JK."
Is this true and if so when can we expect them, and at appoximately what price?"
Response:
The 1/2 door kits are still in development. They will be available by the new year. The kits will be 2 front doors in a box, and all of the components. price will be just under a grand for a pair of doors. Dealers may discount this price. You will have to paint the doors, but they will be primed. We will also have kits for the upper soft windows, and for the rear doors. We have been delayed getting product out for the new ram truck.__________________

I can't wait half doors,I had them on my TJ and I loved them
For about a 1000$,not to bad for the hole door set up minus the paint.
I love half doors just in time for next summer

Much cheaper than Jeeps are us at $2800.00...

We just have to wait patiently. There's alot of research and development, it's not like they have half doors they could just sell to us...wait a second... yes they do.

The release was "held up" by the development of the new Dodge Ram?
What's to develop? The size of the box they're gonna go in?

Read carefully before getting too excited ......
Under a grand for a pair of doors ...... for us unlimited guys that is still 2 pairs of doors...... then you buy the door tops seperately for ........???????? $800 for the set of 4 ..........just guessing on that one !!!

No, $2800 is for 1 pair from JeepsAreUs. If you add the 4 door option and check the cart you'll see that it wants to charge you $5600 for 4 doors.
