My 07 came with a hard top and I got an original 10 model. I have not noticed any significant noise increase at all. Drove city and highway with both.

Only time things get noisy is when I lower the soft top or take the freedom panels out. :-)

Besides that, the engine noise muffles any other noise. It's a Jeep! ;-)
