Default Head rest sleeve

Just installed my trek armor seat covers and would like to know is the front seats headrest guide can be removed? I know the sell them they even have a part number but can they be removed ?

Yeah you can remove them by getting your fingers under the headrest and pushing in the locking tabs while lifting the head cushin. Some are stubborn like the ones on the back seat but they will come out. When I removed the rear ones it opened up rearward vision through the rearview mirror.

i'm not talking about the headrest them selves, i'm referring to the sleeves were the headrest goes in to on the front seats.
