Well we did a side by side look and maybe my friend and I just think that blue colored tint looks horrible. Shining out on a open field the blue tint shadowed more looking from inside the jeep cabs and outside.
It's just our opinion and we all agree that if you change the housing and bulb is the best solution.
I'm happy for now with just a bulb change like I stated before because I rarely drive at night.
I'm doing a daniel sterns kit if anything later on.

Trucklite LEDs, you can find em for about half the price for the pair if you search the web a little. We use them on our tactical vehicles and I have them on my rig...love them.

The Truck LEDs are pretty expensive most people on this site to invest in just lighting

I think majority of the people on this forum want to have headlight lighting that isn't eye blinding to others and are legal to drive onroad, leave the HIDs, high power LEDs and such to the offroad areas

LEDs are legal on road...that's why they make about a dozen or so vehicles with stock LED headlights. And they aren't any more blinding than the HIDs or any of the others.

My Dually D2's I'm talking about and the other high power style lighting if you actually read the thread correctly
I'm just saying people should replace headlights with a DOT approved system and keep the other lighting for Offroad use only

I'm somewhat of a lighting guru here.

If you want to retain the stock headlights, the best bulb to get is the Philips Xtreme power. My gf had the IPFs with the silverstars and my Dad's stock lens with the xtreme power is brighter.

Yeah I agree, A better housing is required and as for the IPF kit I think it's great as long as you use a different bulb then that horrible blue looking one in it.

My girlfriend now runs the "blue" silverstar ZXE. We did it for shit n' giggles. But damn, that's probably the best "blue coated" bulb ever!

I still would recommend the Xtreme power bulbs regardless of the lens being used.

How so?

Why?

Not trying to be sarcastic, just asking if you would elaborate on this please? I put Silverstar Ultras in my 2002 Chevy Tracker daily driver over a year ago and was greatly impressed by the light they put out. At least 10,000 miles and 13 or 14 months later they're still going strong. I haven't thought about replacing them since they're working fine but am interested to hear your thoughts. Better is better when the time comes to replace them.
