Default Help!!!

went out to the jeep this morning and the clutch is pretty much useless...no tension on it at all and it doesn't let me shift unless its off...

Where is the master cylinder for the clutch so i can try adding some fluid...would like to drive it home from college tonight and it would be nice if i could have some what of a clutch for the stop and go part...its mostly highway except for the last 40 min...i know i can shift and everything without a clutch but it'll be a pain to have to turn it off every time i need to shift into first or second from a stop...if its in gear i can't come to a stop without it stalling...THE UNIVERSE HATES MY JEEP!!!!!!!!

its an 07 btw...drove fine last night no problems

Default I had this problem, and fixed it.

The clutch fluid is brake fluid in the brake fluid resivor. Check it first and fill it. Look and see if u can see any fluid at the botom of the trans by the vent hole/bell housing. If not , you might have gotten low on brake fluid from your brakes being worn out and sucked in some air. There is a plastic type wing nut that is your bleeder screw for your slave cylinder . 2 people are needed to bleed it. but when u do that keep the brake fluid resivor full . Check it every 2 clutch peddle cycles. The slave cylinder cost about $87.00. There is a fluid drain path so when it goes bad that it dont contaminate the clutch.
OH I forgot to tell you the slave cylinder is on the left side of the transmission on the outside . It is held on by 2 nuts , and has the hydraulic hose attached. MAKE SHURE YOU DONT LOOSE THE LITTLE O-RING ON THE LINE THAT SEALS THE LINE TO THE SLAVE CYLINDER . THE ONLY WAY TO GET THAT LITTLE FRICKEN RING IS TO ORDER THAT HOSE ASSEMBLY. IT SHOT OFF LIKE A ROCKET WHEN WE PULLED MINE OFF THE SLAVE CYL.
