OK, tried modifying my auto shifter this weekend with a mod I found on here and something happened to the inside of the shifter. When you pull the handle off there is a black plunger that goes down the shaft. That is what allows you to shift.... Something went wrong down there and that plunger came out and now the original handle won't work. I have to push on that plunger all the way down with the handle off to be able to shift. Any ideas what could have happened? It's near impossible to see down the shaft to even diagnose what went wrong. I was hoping someone in here has taken theirs apart.
