Default Help with Mopar fog light wiring

Hi all,

I'm wiring up the Mopar fog light kit on my '08 X. Everything was going smoothly till it came time to put in the wiring harness. I broke one of the posts on my TIPM bracket, and the D-connector underneath the TIPM won't disconnect for love or money. I gave up because I didn't want to break anything. It's on there so tight it seems like there has to be some kind of trick to this. I feel like an idiot for asking, but what am I missing? It's the connector on the right side of the photo, with the red tab.

You have the red tab pulled down. The next step is squeeze the gray tab while wiggling the connector out of the socket. Squeeze the gray tab enough to make it bend toward the red tab under it.
