Default Which Hitch?

I have the receiver already on the jeep and plan on towing a small utility trailer.
My question is do i need to get a hitch that drops down or do i need one that is straight?
I am referring to the piece that has the chrome ball on it ( sorry if i don't have the terminology correct )
So, basically i have the 2 inch reciever on the jeep, and this
40-1/2" x 48" Small Utility Trailer - 1090 Lb. Cargo Capacity

What else do i need?

Thanks !

The height of your trailer will determine what you need.. My guess is that you should get one with a very small drop, 1"-2".... You just want your trailer sitting level once loaded...

You should only need 1-2 inch drop as stated before, if you have a lift or larger tires that will adjust the drop you will need to get also a lock/ pin the best ones I've found are made by Reese and you can find them pretty much at any auto parts store.

Just measure to the bottom of the hitch on the trailer with the trailer sitting level. This is the height you want the top of the hitch bar to be on the Jeep. If the height of the top of the Jeep's receiver is different than the bottom of the trailer's hitch, then the Jeep hitch must be offset (probably dropped) by the amount of the difference.

A quality 1 7/8" ball (bastard size these days, a 2" ball is the standard anymore on small to midsize trailers). If the safety chains do not seem very strong, upgrade them.

Don't get straight as your tailgate won't open. I have a straight multi ball and it's a pain
