I am just outside of Oshkosh (same weather) and have not had any problems with my 2 door. As has been stated, mine starts to blow warm within 3-5 minutes of starting and it holds the heat as good as any other vehicle. It may get colder a bit quicker once you turn the heat off but you will not have any problems as long as the vehicle is running.

Off subject - if you are interested in gettnig together to hit some trails - send me a PM.

I ran into a slight problem with the heat in my old JK. On a cold morning I went out and started my Jeep, put the heat on defrost, highest heat setting and fan going as fast as it'll go. Come back out to drive away...The windshield is completely cracked from one edge to the other. Ya the Heater gets real hot! Lesson learned, when using defrost, don't crank the heat.

I think the Liberty was better insulated because the one thing I noticed when I went from a Liberty to a Wrangler was how long it took to warm up.

that would make sense since a Liberty has a metal roof and an insulated headliner...

Try a soft top, soft doors, Alaska, CJ-7.....

The Hard top with Heater JK has got it beat easily.

The Liberty might be a tad warmer naturally without the heater and the 4-dr hardtop maybe a bit cooler (again w/o a heater), but just because the Liberty is a built in/insulated hardtop Vs. our thinner removable tops. The heaters are unbeatable though and she'll be fine.

Lot's of folks have mentioned how powerful the heater is but it's also worth mentioning that from a cold start until the time you get reasonable heat out of the heater is relatively short.
