Good point above. Try to latch BOTH front hoops by pulling down on the bar across. Then try the rear.

I just went out and looked at mine and the natural state for seat when folded forward is to have both front latches engaged,

the wife has the camera or I would take a picture of the front latches. I tried a screen shot from your vid but thats not working for me. Take a closer look at the front latches and it might make better sense as how they need to lock in.

Just saw this post. Try this, do everything you are doing but start by placing your hooks onto the rear bar of that double bar. Then as you (gently, force is not the answer) push the seat down and back, it will also move forward locking it down.

I did just what you did and out of desperation tried this and voila! I would check this on my JK but it's getting modded! (imagine that!)

rewatched your video, that's what you're doing wrong, 1) disconnect the seat entirely, 2) (KISS) put the obvious hook on the front of the seat onto the rear hoop (your term) of the front double hoops, 3) lower the seat down (don't do anything special and there will be just a little spring load against you) and there you are, installed.

I can run and take a pic of mine real quick to show how the front is locked in.

I checked, you guys were right. I did not realize there are two latches in the front. I had the hook in the front of the forward hoops when it should be in the back hoop of the forward hoops. (if that makes sense).

Once I did this it latched right in.

And it only cost be cussing, a broken plastic piece on the top of the rear seat, and possibly knocking something lose under my Jeep from all the banging.

Thanks for all the help!

I was cursing, dripping in sweat. Its like 90 degrees and humid here today. I am so pissed that it was something so simple. Meanwhile I am sure I must have rattled something loose under the Jeep with all that slamming.
