Default How do you remove the soft top on a new 2011 Rubicon unlimited?

I picked up my new Sliver Rebucion Unlimited last night.

After unpacking it I found that the soft top is bolted to the roll cage in the back.

I have both hard top and soft I want to removed the soft so I can get into the tail gate with out it in the way.

I removed the bolts but can't figure out how to remove it without taking the hard top off.

Anyone else have this problem?

far as i know, you have to lift the hard top off to get the soft top out. this is packaged for shipping this way and never should have both tops on at the same time.

But I was wondering the same thing weve been rolling with the hard top and soft top on I guess I'll be taking the soft top off tonight; and showing my wife why I didn't want the hard top.

Default I bought my 2010 Unlimeted Sport in August

I had the same issue. Had to get the wife to help lift the hard top off. I am running with the soft top until it gets too cold. The wife thinks I am nuts and said I will have to call my brother to put the hard top back on. I will be building the hard top hoist I read about on JK Forum this winter. This is the only car I have owned that I have to build stuff for. Cool!!!

That's right baby I am nuts and you married me what does that make you?

Yep if opted with a Dual top group the Soft top comes "Stowed" inside the Jeep and is to be removed when the hard top is not in place. I did a write up (2Door) that has the Torx Sizes in there somewhere. The soft top ones are t-20 I think and the hard top are t-40 if memory serves me right?

The soft top is rolled up inside the hard top.

What about the bows, do they fit sideways through the back?

it'll fit just lay down atleast one of the back seats and turn it sideways from how it goes on the jeep.
