My battery is about 2 years old and some time it seems slow to start. Was just wondering if its time to buy something new.

Mine is going on 3 years. The battery died twice and had to have it jumped. planning on getting a yellow top in the next few months.

Mine died just after returning from Moab earlier this month. It was three years and two months old. I figure that the vibration while off-roading in Moab finally did it in--especially 100 miles on White Rim Trail. I was looking for an excuse to put something better in (better for off-road vibration), so went for an Optima Yellow Top. Regardless, my OEM batter performed quite well for all of the off-roading I've done.

3 years, almost to the day of purchase. I was installing a new battery and a new registraton sticker in the same week.

Default usage may vary !

I have heard too many stories about the oem battery failing at an inopportune time, so when I decided I was going to run a 7.2hp 12000lb winch, I decided to upgrade to a dual
Odyssey battery setup. My oem was only 10 months old, so I was able to sell it for $40.
So I would guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it.

I have had my Jeep for heading on 2 years and have had the battery die a copule of tmes over the last two months. It usually happens if I don't drive the truck for a couple of days. I hook it up to a battery charger, it takes a charge and will hold it as long as I drive the Jeep daily. Is the battery something that is covered under waranty, or once the dealer sees my winch, offroad lights and brake controller are they going to say no way?

Average automobile battery life is 5-6 years. Add winch, lights, air compressors and other goodies and your lucky to get 2.
