Well, mine died tonight. I bought the Jeep end of February 2007, so about 3 years and 4 months. Mine had a crack in it at the negative terminal.

My budget didn't allow a yellow top (which I wanted), so I got the Optima Gold, or whatever it's called from Advanced Auto Parts - the only place I could get to in time before closing at 9 pm.

My battery died after 13 months. No winch. No additional accessories. The dealership replaced it - no questions asked. I have new bumpers coming and the new winch in the garage ready to go. I will probably go with a dual battery set up soon. (3 is good start!)

I have owned my 2007 4dr is for 3 yrs 5 mos and still are using the OEM battery. Yesterday I had the oil changed and battery tested. It tested at 550 cold cranking amps and is rated at 600. Jeep is garaged in So Cal. Time to replace before it fails.
I have to decide weather to go with Optima or Sears Diehard. I have had good luck with Optima batteries in previous vehicles but some good arguments have been made for Sears here. Amazon sells the red top for $138.30 no tax and free shipping which would be the best deal. If it fails I'm out of luck. Sears is looking better as I type this.

sounds like the new battery gave a much better spark for your plugs which resulted in more power and less gas needed

Lasted less than 18 months...

Couldn’t be bothered with the stealer, not got the time to piss fart around...

Went straight to a battery dealer and through in a bigger Yellow Top... cost more but a much bigger and better battery.

The last thing you need is no power on the trail...
