Default How waterproof is it?

It was a beautiful morning, 75 degrees, no clouds. I put my newly painted wheels on and left the top down at work. Then, about an hour ago, a co-worker came in and said it was raining. I grabbed my keys and walked out into a hurricane. Everything is soaked. By time I got the top up, it had stopped and the sun was shining again, but more's on the way later.

Anyway, how waterproof it the JK? I know there are plugs in the bottom, and I'm not worried too much about the carpet and seats. What about the stereo, dash, window controls, etc? Is there anything special I need to do, or just let it air out?

Ive never had a problem with the electronics. The last time I got rained in real bad I ripped out the carpets for good and put in the mopar rubber liner.

I have yet to have an issue after being caught in the rain. Just make sure you pull your drain plugs and also use a wet vac on the carpet if needed. I no longer have the carpet so dont have to worry about it

No issues with electronics as other have stated. I would highly recommend you pull all the carpets out and hang to dry b/c if you leave it moist for a few days you will get that really funky mildew smell! Once the carpets are out pull the plugs take the doors off and top down and run it on the highway for about 1 hr and your seats should be good and dry!

Just ride naked! You may scare off a few people.

Mines been wet a few times, wave over the windshield with roof off. no carpets to worry about, installed rubber floor horn is the only electrical thing that doesn't work after getting wet, but it dries out. no fears dude. even Tucker Dog got a good soaking

I've been rained on several times. The last time I had about four inches of water in the footwells before I pulled the plugs. No problem with electronics.

I will repeat the statement above. Pull all the carpets and let them dry completely or the mildew smell will be horrible.

I sprayed mine out with a power washer, no problems, but I did make extra sure to shopvac the carpets, then take a couple hour road trip with the top and doors off, and then leave the jeep out in the sun with everything off the next couple days to dry out.

all good. I didn't get the mygig wet though, I'd be worried about that.
