Default I need help asap!!

While cleaning my jk I bumped the bottom of my shift boot pretty hard and noticed it lift up a bit. I was trying to slip the rubber boot back under the plastic base and the whole thing just popped up!

Any idea on how to get the left over screws up and what to replace them with!

They aren't really screws. They're places where the factory plastic welded the two halves together and they look like screws. I took the two halves out, drilled all the locations, and reassembled it using small nuts and bolts. Then I snapped at all back together.

Never mind got it, did you drill the plastic welds out or pop them out?

It was a pretty fun mod to do, very easy. And in my opinion makes it look pretty bad ass!!

Wish I would have seen something like this last year when my weld snapped on the bottom fake screw. I ended up buying a new boot assembly and replaced the whole thing. The hardest part was pulling off the shift knob - I thought I was going to break something (me or the Jeep). I also wish I had a camera back then to post here, now I have my iPhone and will record/pics from now on when I do anything so I can post if it may help anyone.
