Im guessing its for a hardtop but wanna confirm.

Any chance the previous owner had some stereo equipment back there? I only have soft top, but don't think that is where the hardtop wires are.

Got a pic of the end? The hard top wires come out of the carpet on the drivers side but I have. Ever chased mine down to see where they run.

I was going to suggest stereo equipment also. I had a woofer on my 07 and the wires were run in a similar fashion.
