Intermittent "Christmas Tree" lights with consistent triggers
Hey all - thanks in advance for looking at this.
I have a stock 2008 JK, about 106K miles. For almost a year I've been having intermittent issues where the ABS, Brake, ESP, and Traction Control lights, and sometimes just the ESP and Traction Control lights come on. But they fairly quickly go away. With almost a year's worth of "data" I have found very very consistent triggers:
1) When driving through heavy rain over a distance, the ABS, Brake, ESP, and Traction Control lights will light up and stay lit up even with a restart if I pull over. But the next day, if it's dry, the issue is resolved.
2) On a very hot day, the ESP and Traction Control lights come on. Next day when it's not so hot, or later in the evening, goes away.
My ABS Code reader pulls the following stored codes:
C2200 - Anti-lock Brake Module Internal
U0429 - Invalid Data Received From Steering Column Control Module
U0146 - Lost Communication With Central Gateway
U0141 - Lost Communication With IPM (FCM/TIPM)
U0126 - Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) Module
What I've done so far:
1) Re-seated and tightened battery terminal connections
2) Sprayed every connector I could find with deoxit
Any thoughts as to what my root issue could be? My shop can't find anything wrong, avoiding the stealership and they will probably say the same thing anyway.
Thanks,
-Rob

2009 JKU Rubicon, 6 speed 213K miles
About a year ago I started having the ABS, ESP and Traction Control lights that would come and either go off after a few miles/minutes or would not come on the next time I started the jeep, now they are on all the time, along with the emerg brake indicator.
I have done some research, replaced both front wheel sensors, (replaced front brake pads while it was all apart), last weekend, no change. BTW, I don't have a code reader, swung by my local mechanic when the lights were on and he got no codes. I was not aware that not all code readers would pick up ABS codes, my bad.
The combination of lights, (ABS, Brake, ESP and Traction), will not come on until I hit 11-13mph, that makes me think wheel speed sensor since it seems to be speed activated.
Does the auto door look depend on the wheel speed senor to activate? there is no problem with that. I
I am planning to go and find someone with a code +ABS reader to see what's up, hoping it does point back to the two I just replaced....

I have these lights on constantly on my 08. I plan on fixing it with a new clockspring. Got a non-mopar from Quadratec for $160. Will install shortly and update my post. Steering Angle Sensor from what i have found is a bad clock spring. Start looking and searching into that and see where it takes you on the troubleshooting.

Thanks everyone.
I got a new clockspring on Quadratec. Will install that and see what happens. At the very least, preventative maintenance on a part that seems to fail left and right and my girl is getting old anyways.

Just to update on this - knock wood - no more issues since installing the clockspring.
