Jeep all over the road in the snow..

Does anyone have any idea why my Jeep would be all over the road in less than an inch of snow? In 2WD drive and less than an inch of snow on the road the Jeep is fishtailing whenever I give it gas.

more than likely your tires... but it could be anything... my stock tires kicked ass in the snow last year... i dont know how good my new KM2s will perform but I guess we will find out. could be not enough weight in the back as well...

I am running Wrangler Silent Armor.

ease up on the gas when starting from start
you could also have too much air in your tires

If is is fish tailing do you see the ESP flash on the dashboard ? whenever I have traction problems I see the ESP start to flash. I'll be honest my 2dr 08 handles wonderfully in the snow in 2wd. I havent even had to throw it into 4whl except to go up a really icy driveway. My last Wrangler was a 93' and it was downright dangerous in the snow unless you put it into 4wd . You might have an issue with your traction control ? What tires are you running ?

ESP does light up. I am running stock size, I think its 225/75/17.

With those tires something has to be wrong. I assume your driving normally and like other stated your not gasing it around ? I can drive pretty aggressive with the ESP but its not foolproof. I have not noticed any fishtailing what so ever with normal driving on ice or snow.

Great. Another issue. Its time for this Jeep to go.

How is the tread on your tires ? I assume if your not getting a tire pressure light that the pressure has to be reasonably okay.

Tires are brand new. PSI around 33. About 1K on em. What is swb and lwb?

Putnamdan,

Yeah there is ice, but I am mostly referring to the snow we are now getting as I type this. On the way to the dealer it was fine, on the way back as it started snowing..fishtail city.
