Default jeep get flooded!!! video

anybody see this video on CNN today. this guy has his new jeep pulled into the floodwaters...they report that was totaled.

javascript:cnnVideo('play','/video/ireports/2007/06/28/ireport.texas.flooding.cnn');

i am not sure if the link will work, the video is not on youtube yet...but search CNN's site for jeep and it will come up under "watch"

you can tell it's an 07 because of the steering wheel.

Easy to tell it's an 07 because it has a Freedom Top.

What was really stupider was that the guy videoed himself practically admitting that he drove into the water to see if he can make it. Now he can't claim that the water caught him by surprise. The insurance company can claim that he was off roading and caused the damage himself. He would have been fine if he had a snorkel. another excuse to get one.

Has anyone found a company making a snorkel kit for the JK yet?

it'd be nice. I'd sure love to NOT have to go through the mods I had "make up" to have a "functional" snorkel on my ZJ.

it's all too often you find yoruself in a hole dug out by rednecks in large trucks with 40" tires down here. I like to have the option to back out after the front end drops in.
