Bringing this to life again....
My 07 JK Sport, auto, is with some sporadic no-start problem...
Turn the key, usual lights on, no warnig or extra lights on... But, simply do not start, no clics under the hood...
After several tries, it starts just like nothing happend... No clock reset, nothing wrong...

Do you have any clue?

I cleaned all my starter engine, new batterie, no DTCs... No errors...
Any electrical modifications is the bullydog, winch (plugged strait to the battery) - but, my problem is with no winch, witch is at the warn dealer (too much mud)...

My 07 does the same thing. I just bump the shifter (auto) forward and it starts right up.

I had 2 or 3 click no starts after over 2 years with not even one. I did the heavy wire grounding thing. Wire from the grounding stud on the right side near the fuse box to the alternator bracket to the negative battery terminal. Haven't had the problem since. I do believe however that the grounds in the engine compartment right side were the problem. I don't believe it's your battery. Here is the original thread write-up that I followed. There may be more

Go to the auto parts store and get spool of 10AWG wire, some 1/2" flat washers, and a package of #10-12 AWG ring lugs with about a 7/16" ring ID. Remove the bolt in the negative battery terminal that secures the negative battery cable. Make up a jumper wire using the 10AWG wire with a ring terminal at each end that is long enough to run from the negative battery clamp, along the fire wall and then forward along the drivers side intake up to the alternator bracket. At the top of the alternator you will find a bolt that secures a black support to the alternator. Remove this bolt and attached the other end of the jumper wire with a flat washer between the bolt head and the ring terminal, then screw the bolt back in place. Attached the opposite end of the jumper to the negative battery terminal along with the negative battery cable using the original bolt. You will find that your jeep will start every time or at least until you drain the battery.
My jeep reached the point that it failed to do anything but the famous click sound from the starter solenoid trying to engage and I got fed up and worked for several hours until I found this solves the issue. I now have over 60 starts with this fix and 100% starting every time I turn the key.

For the hell if it try the spare key. When I had my ranger I'm guessing the chip went out or something so the main key didn't work but the spare did! I dont know!

Did you try the suggested extra ground mod...unless you have an auto..this is probably the best thing you can do to fix it. If you do have an auto try bumping the shifter

I would try to do the ground mod first. if you don't have access to get parts, but you have a few hand tools try disconnecting the grounding lug on the chassis right next to the battery on the left and clean and scuff it and any wire lugs that are connected re tighten it...also remove your battery wires and clean and tighten the terminals...it may work until you can get additional wire to run an extra ground.
The reason I say do this first is because a problem with your key will still allow the motor to turn over, and even start for a second or two with a bad key...if your not getting it to even crank, then your key is not the problem.

Thanks, I will try to clean the ground wire and see what happen...
My access to parts is a little limited, cause I prefer to buy everything from USA... Its better build stuff and cheaper, even with 88% import taxes... Here, at Brazil, all chrysler stuff is incredibly over priced... they wanted R$ 2000,00 (almost US$ 1100,00) for break pads and disk (both from the front), can you believe?

I will update the info as soon as I can clean it...

Just tried to clean the ground wire, but it was in good shape...
The occasional problem appeared once again... I could study it a little...
When the jeep does not start, my energy is just like when you try to start it, radio and other stuff is off... with the jeep in this situation, I bumped the shift front, and it started... so, I think my problem is with the safety sensor at my shift lever (P/N)... But I tried to start the jeep with the lever at "R" position to see how it wound behave... and the energy was cut for one second, the jeep did not start, and all was back to normal after that second... when the problem happen, it just stays like this second...

too much confuse?? sorry for the bad english... but I tried to describe what happened...

do someone know the part number of this sensor? or the exact name of it?
Electrical-Switch & Relay : Neutral Safety Switch / Range Sensor at rockauto... this one?

Thanks
