Question JK axle question

Since the JK came out in 2007, have there been any axle changes in any of the model years or are all the JK Dana 30's "next generation" high pinion and all all the Dana 44's the "next generation" axles?

It is also my understanding that the JK Dana 44 is stronger than the previous TJ's Dana 44. Is this strength due to thicker tubes as well as beefier R&P and higher spline count; all in all a much stronger axle?

Thanks!

Dan

Don't know about the D44s, but I heard that some early model 2007s had a modified TJ style D30 diff in front. i believe it was of some concern for Aussie when they were getting ready to release the locker for the JKs.

Should be easy to tell if that is the case. If the Dana 30 is not a HP, then the axle probably is a modified TJ.

Thanks!
